Yuma RV Resorts

Yuma RV resorts provide full-time RVers with warmth during the harsh winter months and a place to cool off in the hotter than hot Arizona summers. These resorts cater to families, active seniors, singles, and pets, offering entertainment such as swimming, bocce ball, or hiking. The area outside the resorts features national parks, shopping, and community hospitals, as well as historical sites and restaurants.

Shangri- La RV Resort

2009 Trailer Life Directory

Since this is one of the few owner-operated Yuma RV resorts, Shangri- La is a well-maintained facility with high ratings for bathroom cleanliness and lengthy trailer life. The park is open year round and has reasonable rates and plenty of activities to occupy your time. An exercise room, pool and Jacuzzi, volleyball, and dancing can fill the days of the more energetic visitor. The resort also offers games such as pool, horseshoes, bingo, and shuffleboard.

Shangri-La accommodates over 300 RVs at any time, including a few of the bigger vehicles, and you have the option of choosing a site with a 30 or 50 amp hook-up. Free cable and WiFi are available as well as a section of the park that is just for pets and their owners. The surrounding area offers conveniences for those planning to stay a while with a nearby grocery store, emergency care unit, three golf courses, and a post office.

Reservations may be made for overnight, weekly, or monthly visits. For information on resort policies or directions to the park, go to Shangri- La's website at shangrilarv.com.

Arizona Sands RV Park

Among the Yuma RV resorts that exclusively cater to seniors, Arizona Sands has over 200 sites and is open every day of the year. This park is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet local attractions, casinos, and area shopping centers are nearby.

Some of the resort's highlights include a recreation room, movie and book library, pool tables, and nature trails. The available amenities offered by the park include bath houses, laundry, telephone hook-ups, wireless internet, and bags of ice. As an added courtesy, the management team at Arizona Sands allows you to wash your RV and provides mail, fax, and copying services.

Full-time RVers, and RVers with pets are welcome at Arizona Sands, but you must complete the online reservation form and provide a deposit in advance. They also provide a park map on their website, arizonasandsrvpark.com, and ask that you select three spaces so that they may accommodate you as conveniently as possible.
