Thinking About Fulltime Rving

Thinking About Fulltime Rving

My husband and I are thinking about going RVING fulltime. We will have to sell the house and furniture, etc. Getting to stop working and travel appeals to me.

But I am afraid that after a while, you would get tired of it and be ready to go home. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. We have already purchased an rv. We bought a used fifth wheel. Still at dealership. Haven't picked it up yet. They are storing it for us for a couple of months. We have ordered a truck to pull it with. But won't get it until October.

I have decided not to get rid of everything. Putting a lot in storage. Just afraid at some point I will want to come home. We are selling house. But will have to see how I feel after being out there a few months.

It was great to run across you question on the websites about fulltime rving! My husband and I are in our late 60's and are really wanting to get out of the rat race.

We think that should we ever get bored with the open road lifestyle, we can always go rent somewhere. We don't have anything but our SS to live on which equals about $2700 per month for the two of us.

We have to sell our home to even consider getting into an rv. We live in Colorado now and like everywere else, it is getting crowded and expensive. It looks like renting an rv for any period of time is rather expensive. Have you done that yet?

We have been doing it for 5 years now and just love it.
