Ogeechee River near Savannah

The Ogeechee River, overlooked by the resort, gives guests the opportunity to fish off of the pier or docks, make use of the 16-foot boat launch, rent kayaks or canoes, or go swimming. Some of the fish you can expect to catch and not release include bass, red breast, catfish, shad, and bream, along with other local river dwellers.

The park also provides safety features such as an electronic gate that opens with a code given to guests so that they may come and go as they please.

Savannah Oaks RV Resort has a few rules, which they best sum up with their saying, "Take nothing but pictures, waste nothing but time, leave nothing but footprints." The resort asks all of its guests to refrain from destroying the trees, either by cutting them for firewood or simply nailing in a hammock. Sites should be left the way that you would like to find them, meaning that you should utilize garbage bags and the dump site and never litter. The last request the park has for its guests is to keep the common areas clean and to avoid wasting water or electricity.

If you enjoy RVing and Savannah or are a first time camper and visitor to the area, consider staying at the Savannah Oaks RV Resort. For rates, pictures, or other information, simply visit the parks website at or simply call them.
