Satellite Options

Is there a way around buying expensive satellite equipment and paying ridiculous monthly charges for either Dish or Direct TV? I find it funny that both services have great packages and deals for "home" satellite subscribers but as soon as you mention your home is a RV, everything changes! Where as "they" will provide the dish, reciever, DVR and extra channels and discounts to my home address, when I mention the RV, we all of a sudden are responsible for purchasing these products. Can you sign up at your home address and then just move the products into the RV? We have no experience with satellite so we are completely stymied!
