We've put together a basic RV check list for newbie's to Full Time Rving.
Before you start out on your new adventure be sure you have these basic necessities along:
Remember not to overload your RV. You'll need to be aware of your cargo carrying capacity limits. It'll just make the stowing a much bigger job than it has to be.
Before starting down the road there's a few things you should use as an RV departure checklist. We don't use a printable travel checklist or road ready RV checklist because you just won't need it once you've done this a couple of times. You can tell a pro from a newbie if they're walking around the RV with a printed checklist.
This might sound like a lot of prep work to get back on the road, but honestly it takes us about 30 minutes to do it all. We know some full timers that don't really travel all that much and are pretty sure getting their rig road ready may take a bit more doing. If you plan to travel a lot like we do, then keep it simple.
Have your decorations fastened down tightly, so you won't have to move them, your cabinets organized with collapsible containers and you'll be a pro at pre-trip preparations in no time.
We've learned our lesson the hard way. We had a jar of change sitting above the entrance and thought it was secured behind the rail. One quick jab on the brakes and we we're pelted with coins, so now the penny jar is sealed tight and stowed.
