We have a 1999 Itasca. Can we add an arctic package to make it a year round unit? Liz

My husband and I are retired. We want to go back to workcamping some day but right now we need to stay in Michigan. Winters can be pretty bad. We are thinking about getting a fifth wheel with an arctic pack to live in here in Michigan but a dealer told us they are only suitable for three seasons. What do you think?

Does the furnace have to be on to make use of the arctic pack or do you just have to flip on the switches to the arctic pack? We have a 2003 Cardinal 5th wheel.
