Residency & Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans

We are wanting to sell our home buy an RV and go fulltime RVing. The question came up about Medicare plans and residency. In order to have a Medicare Advantage plan you have to reside somewhere for six months and a day. We plan to travel a lot. Do you use a relative's address, do you have a mail forwarding service and use their address. If our home is our RV, how does the home on wheels residency work. I trust someone out there has already solved this problem. We would appreciate your honest opinion on handling this issue. Thank you all for reading and thanks in advance for all who will respond!

Medicare Advantage Plans

Good luck on becoming Full Timers.

We're not there yet but are trying to get to be Full Timers.

I can only speak from my FLA experience. I am not 65 yet but on SSD, so it could be different if you're 65....In the state of FLA the Advantage Plans are restricted to the county of your residence and not out of the area. I realize the Advantage Plans have much better coverage, but for me I only have regular Medicare because of not being able to use Advantage Plan anywhere else in the USA.

Have fun.
