Renter's Insurance for storage

Renter's Insurance for storage

by Cindy

We are full time rving but we have a storage for our belongings in case we do decide to rent a place. Since we don't have a home now, we can't get renter's insurance. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to insure our storage items?

Commercial inventory insurance

Is the answer to this issue. Forget personal lines insurance. Talk to an independent Broker of commercial lines insurance as a unincorporated business-person seeking inventory insurance.

Renter's Insurance - Motorhome / RV

We also have belongings stored. We use the Public Storage chain and they insisted we take their insurance as a requirement of renting the space. It was a small amount no big deal, but then we are covered. Did your rental agreement include insurance by chance.
Also, as much as our MH's seem like home they are not. And not according to our State Farm agent either. We covered the MH as we would a car with much more than the state required insurance, BUT ALSO had to buy Renters Insurance (for lack of a better name) for the contents.
Laws and regulations vary greatly from State to State I am writing from Illinois.
