Recreational Vehicle Living
We work in road construction which keeps us moving every couple of months. We used our RV to travel and stay at job sites; and we always felt comfortable and at home in our trailer.
We decided that selling our house and living full time in our RV would save us a lot of money. We wouldn't have to travel back and forth to maintain the house on our days off. We could use that time to do the things we enjoy like hiking and sight seeing.
The RV lifestyle is very inexpensive for us. The low monthly rents allows us to contribute to our savings account much more than when we had a traditional house to maintain. Plus it has given us more free time to do the things we really enjoy.
We're not sure if we will purchase another "permanent" home when we retire, but for now frugal living and saving like this is working out perfectly for us & we are putting away a ton of money for retirement.
