2003 Country Coach Allure, Sunriver Edition, 370 HP Cummins, 2 slides, 50,000 miles, original MSRP $278,000, bought in Oregon 3 years ago for $135,000 at guaranty RV. Current loan balance of 79,000. My girlfriend owns the RV and lives in Boston so we registered and insured it there. The RV is kept in Colorado and never makes it back to Boston. I was listed as the second driver on the original insurance. The company said they would no longer insure me with a Colorado license. No way can I switch states. So we are in the process of switching insurance companies to Good Sam's which is actually GMAC and used my Colorado address. I am worried it will cost a king's ransom to register it here. the quote from DMV is $475 to $700. Registration in Mass. is only $50 a year. She spends 2 to 3 months a year here with me. We were only changing the state of registration so I could be insured. How can we keep it registered in state of Mass., keep my license Colorado and still insure me. No insurance agent seems to be able to answer the question. The girlfriend owns the vehicle, maintains a residence in Boston and has a Mass. driver license.
