Hydraulic Slide Problem

Hydraulic Slide Problem

I have a 04 cardinal 5th wheel with 2 slides & when I put both slides out there is no problem but when I retract them, the bedroom slide goes in OK but the living room slide stops halfway & I have to wait about 15 seconds, then push the button again & it will close all the way. Anybody have any ideas?

Hydraulic Operated Room Slideouts

I have a 2003 Cardinal with hydraulic room slide outs and have same problem. All the rooms stop every couple of inches. Behind the the pump is a pressure relief valve. I have raised and lowered it by turning it in (increase) and out (decrease) with a common screw driver.

Thinking that if there is a pressure switch being made to early then you can sometimes play with the pressure. (If you can't find where they buried the switch) My next thought is that solenoid on the motor intermittently operating. I put a screw driver on it and listened with my ear for that click sound that resets the motor to start again.

Can't tell for sure. So if it isn't over pressuring and making a pressure switch then electrically it's quitting and my guess is that solenoid on the pump. Not the directional solenoids for in and out slides.

I believe that it is an electrical problem, like a breaker kicking off & resetting itself, but I am unable to locate a breaker for just the slide in circuit.

Sounds like you have air in the line. Probably needs bleed-off.
