Heater Operation On a Sandpiper 5th Wheel

Hi all...

We are complete newbies in the RV/camping world. Bought a sweet used Sandpiper 5th wheel in the summer. Now we want to take it out that it is getting a bit colder... but we have NO IDEA on how to turn on the heater. Well besides switching the thermostat to heat and setting a temperature. Please don't laugh, we really want to learn. The AC works amazing, it is activated with the same control as the heater, like in apartments.

When I switch it to heat, there is air blowing in from the vents on the floor, just no heat. H E L P...
