I will be rv'ing about 6 months a year. Does anyone have a recommendation for health insurance that would cover me when away from home?

I would THINK that any major health insurance company would cover you if you were away from home even half of the year. As long as you maintain residency in the state where you GOT the insurance, it shouldn't be an issue.

I have always had Blue Cross/Blue Shield and they even cover me if I go out of the country. Check on this, however, with your agent or the company directly.

We live in SD in summers. We have mail box at UPS store. I used that address. I have Humana Medicare Advantage, lady friend has Medica. We are in AZ Oct to May. They allow you to be out of state for 9 months.

The reason I have medicare advantage is because I also have healthcare through the VA. There are copays of $30.00 for Doctor visit, $50 for specialist and $65 for ER.

I recently went to ER, had to stay over night Cost me $65, but there are no monthly supplement fees. I see that United Healthcared(AARP) has dropped Medicare Advantage Plan due to Obamacare.
