Full Time RV'ing When Retired

My husband and I are considering full-time rv-ing when we retire. What we are wondering about is if we should purchase a cheap piece of property somewhere as a "home base" or is this really necessary? Is it better to just move around every few months and stay in rv resorts? Would love to hear from full time retirees for advice on how they are making it work! Thanks

My husband and I have been full timing for 2 years now. We use my mothers address for our mailing address as well as home base for registering the RV and Car as well as keeping our regular DR. etc... We do have friends that have bought into property for a home base that now regret it. I would imagine it really is up to the RVer and what their plans are for traveling. We winter in AZ and travel in Spring and Fall to see family, Dr, etc... Summer we workcamp.
