For My Son's Band

For My Son's Band

I am trying to decide on an RV to be used for my son's band to tour around the country. They would be touring or only about 3 months out of the year. I'm just not an RV person and know next to nothing about them.

I do know it needs to sleep 6 or 7 and have storage for band equipment.

Any suggestions on where I should start?

I Agree: Toy Hauler

A toy hauler for all the necessary equipment would be essential. Then look for space for comfortable sleeping for all. Otherwise, you're looking at an RV for living/sleeping and pulling a storage trailer behind. BIG expense and hassle.

5th Wheel

I'm a full time entertainer. I've traveled in a motorhome for 20 years. A 5th wheel is the way to go. You only have one engine to worry about. It cost me about a dollar a mile to operate the motorhome.

5th Wheel - Toy Hauler

You will want a bunkhouse to sleep that many. A fifth wheel toy hauler might be good for you. Use the "toy storage" area for equipment.

Most class As are designed for 2-4 people, class C's sometimes up to 6 with the cab-over, but not comfortably, and you would still have to deal with the instruments, amps, etc.
