Campgrounds in Fort Walton Beach Area
by: Rob

There are a few RV parks in the FWB area. Here are some you might look into. I presume you are looking for resort and water access? State parks fill up quickly so you might need to plan early.

- Camping on the Gulf East side of Destin. Can park directly on the gulf and you will pay the price (100.00 +).

- Tops'l State Campground. Very nice paved roads, etc, Reasonable $$ 40's, shuttle to the gulf on grounds. Also east Destin on 30A.

- Henderson Beach State Park in Destin is also nice if you can get in. However, does not have sewer hookups.

- Destin West (on Okaloosa Island). On the Bay side, just opened and they are getting 99.00 per day.

- Also, west of FWB (about 15 minute drive is Navarre Beach Campground, Emerald Beach, and Magnolia Beach (just opened). All are reasonable from about 40.00 per night and have intercoastal waterway sites.

Are you Military or govt employee? if so, there are also some Military RV campgrounds.

Suggest you Google them to get more info.

Good Luck,
