My wife and I (George & Peggy) have made the decision to sell our home and all personal possessions and head out on the road. We closed on the house May of 2016 and invested in a larger 5th wheel (we had a 30 foot) and upgraded to a diesel truck for towing. We have been camping on a seasonal site in central Pennsylvania for about 6 years and are acquainted with small home living. We are currently on our way to a seasonal site in Florida and have traveled down the Interstate system towards Virginia and currently making some preemptive decisions due to the impending hurricane Mathew arrival. We are intending to head inland to possible safer shelter area. We have emergency radio system and onboard navigation system in the truck and have a partial tank of fresh water in case of campground lose of electricity. We are hopeful to travel (next spring) out West by the Northern route and see some of the major National Parks. Would like to keep everyone posted on our travels and read some stories of fellow full timers.
