Double Decker Bus living

Double Decker Bus living

WE are a Family of four, 2 adults, kid, and a dog. WE hope to join the full-life(full-timing) world asap. I am a student preparing for entrance into nursing school (16mon program), my spouse is a baker, son is 8 and our dog is a pomapoo. We wanted to buy a DoubleDecker bus and convert it into our home, but I have only seen this via the internet being done in Europe. We think it would provide the space and I personally have a love for odd things. WE know that the cost would be fairly expensive, but would like to have a personally created, fun and spacious space. I have been reading up on the life style for years and recently started to visit the idea of the DD bus conversion. What are your thoughts as far as being able to stay at parks, driving on American roads, and the general idea of navigating such an enormous vehicle. WE know the measurement have to meet within USA guidelines. I really don't see the diff in this than an million dollar contraption built for the celebrities where upper levels retract! Please, any advice or concerns. Buying the bus isn't an issue either. Any help on how to keep the cost low (conversion), we have no professional labor, building, etc skills. But we are handy with home maint and minimal car maint.

Double Decker Bus problems

I think you have to go around every highway overpass. Finding campgrounds without trees could be a problem. I like the idea but don't know how feasible it would be.
