Doing Laundry

My wife and I are going full time when we retire next month. My question is would it be worth our money and time to invest in a washer/dryer and if so which brand would you recommend?

Use the space for storage. The cost of washer/dryer vs cost of using facilities at RV park or laundromat is a non issue. Too many problems with leakage, rotted floors, humidity, to worry about. Utilize the storage.

We have a Splendide 2000s in our motorhome and we have used it 2 times. It takes to long and all of the cloths come out wrinkled. We are taking it out and using the space for storage. We did meet a couple that has a different kind of washer and dryer and she loves it. I would call Camping World and ask for the different choises that you have.

We have a washer/dryer, and only use it to wash one sheet, 2 pillow cases, and 2 towels and 2 sets of underwear. That's about all it holds at a time. When washing pants and tops, they always need ironing, as they come out wrinkled. Most RV parks have nice laundry facilities, and permanent press does not need ironing, and cotton shirts and pants when folded TIGHT do not need ironing after using the individual washers and dryers in the laundry room at the RV Park. That space for the washer and dryer in the RV can be used for storage instead.

What do others think about having a Washer/dryer in their coach?
