Bunks and Recliners in a Fifth Wheel

Bunks and Recliners in a Fifth Wheel

We camp with grandkids, so we need a Fifth Wheel trailer with bunk beds. Unfortunately, most of the models we have looked at (with bunks) don't have recliners. I guess you have to give up space in the living room in order to have bunks.

Do you know of any fifth wheels that have bunks in addition to a sofa AND recliners?? There are sometimes six of us in the trailer at a time, so we really need the seating in the living room as well.

Look At Toy Haulers...
by: wil

Some of the newer "toy hauler" 5th wheels and motorhomes have two sets of bunks hinged along one side on a wall and a hanging hook system to support the free side. They can give you individual sleeping accommodations for up to six additional people. The ones I have seen have sliding doors that open into the main living area and can serve as an overflow seating area. However, I have never seen one with a living room having both a double bed convertible sofa and two recliners, except for the Euro-style chairs and hassocks added as an after-thought in the "garage". Perhaps you can arrange for a custom interior?

Bunks vs Recliners
by: Linda H

We have motor homed many times with our daughter & family, which makes a total of 6 in our coach. We even did it in a smaller coach and neither coach have extra beds. In our current coach, we sleep in our bedroom, the adult 'kids' sleep on the sleeper in the living area, the dinette table breaks down into a 'double' bed, so when the 'little' kids were younger they slept together, but now they're older one sleeps in the converted dinette bed and the other in the recliner. Something to think about whether you're in a motorhome or a 5th wheel. And since we'll be spending 8 months this year in our coach, it's a very workable solution.
