Blocking the Hot Texas Sun On the Roof of Our Tiffin

We bought our 2006 Tiffin Allegro Bus, ready to hit the road, and then I took a pilot job that keeps us in Dallas for many months. So we're full timing, and don't have good shade for the roof. Are there attachments (suction cup or whatever) that I could mount on the roof to block sunlight and help keep us from boiling?

We have read a lot about the air conditioning units, selective use of ceiling fans, windows, cooking outside, etc., but Dallas can get so hot. We thought someone out there, a whole lot smarter and more experienced than us, might have some big answers. Thanks for anyone and everyone's help.
