Black Residue Around Ceiling Fixtures

We have a 2003 Alfa See Ya 40' Diesel Pusher. Lately there has been black residue around all of the ceiling fixtures. You can wipe it off and it leaves a powdery residue on the cloth. Wondering if anyone out there has had the same problem or knows the cause of this.

Oftentimes when candles are burnt they will put off soot. Especially if the wicks are too long, making the flame is too high. Fans will pull anything their way while running.

I would still not rule out mold, but I'd look for simple things first.
Just my two cents worth.

Best of luck and hope you get rid of the black stuff.

Not sure but sounds like mold to me. Take it to a dealer to find out for sure.
