Adventures in Full Time RVing
by Full Time RVing
(Simi Valley, CA)
A lot of people think that full time RVing means just doing nothing but driving all across the country, maybe stopping at the odd gift stop or tourist trap along the way. But there is so much more that you can do when you are a full time RVer, and you can have plenty of adventures that will make even the most skeptical person want to be an RVer too. Sure, a lot of your trips are going to involve driving...how else would you get anywhere? But when you stop the RV, you are in for a world of adventure, as long as you are up for it.
Outdoor Adventures Await You
If you love the outdoors and love outdoor activities, you will never be at a loss of fun and excitement when you are a full time RVer. When you travel in an RV, you have the time to do whatever you want because you are really not on any kind of a schedule. All along the highways, there are signs for various parks and other areas where there are all kinds of fun things for you to do.
Camping: You may think that when you are RVing you are camping, but really, how much are you really “roughing it” when you have a stove, refrigerator, television and DVD player, and can watch movies and eat from the comfort of a bed? You can still have a camping adventure when you are RVing. Just pack your tent and other camping gear so you have everything you need to take a little side trip into the woods whenever the mood hits you.
Hiking: This is a fun adventure that you can do pretty much whenever and wherever you want when you are RVing. Pull over any place that looks like a good place to hike (you will find a lot of marked trails along your travels), grab a good long stick (it seems like a lot more fun when you have a walking stick) and go for a fun hike in the woods. Don't forget to bring along your camera, because you never know what you are going to see on this type of adventure. If you have your bikes attached to the back of your RV, you may even want to bike the trails. The best thing about hiking is that it's a free activity.
Water Sports: Make sure that you always have a couple of bathing suits on hand because you never know when you are going to end up swimming, water skiing, fishing or doing other water-related activities. Again, most of these activities can be really fun adventures, and they don't cost much, if anything at all.
If you love to have fun adventures, you can have loads of them when you are a full time RVer. No matter where you go, there is always something fun that you can do, so keep your eyes open and watch for signs, because you never know when a fun adventure is going to come your way.
